The real women behind DuoBoots – Caroline Hunter
Firstly we’d like to wish you all a warm welcome to 2019. We thought we’d kick start the new year by introducing our fourth Real Women blog of the series, featuring Caroline Hunter. Caroline is a Maths teacher based in Exeter who models the beautiful Siren Tan Leather knee high boot in a foot size EU40 (UK7) with a calf size of 36cm.
We love to meet our customers; finding out what they do in their daily lives, and of course, what makes them tick and what they look for in a pair of boots...
Hello Caroline, first off tell us about your passions in life and why you love them?
My main passion is putting my health and wellbeing first in all aspects of my life. But I also have a real passion for animals and their welfare.
Where is your favourite place in Britain and why?
It would have to be Bamburgh; a little coastal town in the heart of Northumberland, right down to Craster coastline. It’s a breathtakingly beautiful place full of truly gorgeous beaches – where I love to walk my dog. I love it because it makes me feel nostalgic...taking me back to my Geordie roots.
That sounds idyllic! Now if you had to pick... what would be your favourite place in the world?
Although I’ve only visited once, I’d say Lake Como in Lombardy of Italy. I had the most wonderful experience whist I was there, and the views were spectacular.
What do you like about the style of boots you’ve chosen?
I choose the Siren in Tan Leather, a slightly chunkier boot because of the block heel which suits my oversized style – I find them so versatile, whether I wear them casually or dress them up. And I love the buckle detailing on the top at the side.
What is your favourite item of clothing and how does it make you feel?
I have a white mid length dress, that just fits perfectly... it is my absolute go-to, I always know I can pop it on to make me feel good. It just always makes me feel comfortable and confident.
What or who would you say inspires you daily and why?
I have a real interest in the conservation of our planet, so look into this on a daily basis. I also am constantly inspired by new recipes to cook delicious food – I love trying new dishes.
If you don’t mind us asking, what is your guilty pleasure?
Well... I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but it would have to be Love Island, the reality TV series from summer and crisps – they are my weakness.
What about your favourite takeaway?
Depending on my mood it’s a close toss up between Indian and Thai food.
You can only take 3 things with you when you are sent to live on another planet. What are they? (No people)
I would need to have access to music/podcasts so I’d have to take a radio or my Spotify, second I would have to take my face moisturiser (I can’t go a day without it) and lastly I’d take some mini scissors because no doubt they would come in handy.
And finally, just so we know what makes you tick...here’s a quick fire round!
