Whilst the grey skies and wet weather is still here, this needn’t mean our wardrobes must follow suit. We are here to prove how easy it is to inject colour into your outfits and simultaneously lift all spirits! This is where our Softwaves collaboration comes in. Back for another year, the collection boasts comfort, style and of course, colour!
When it comes to style inspiration, we have put together some easy looks, showing you how to incorporate such bold shades… we promise it’s easier than you think!
We have based all outfits around a wardrobe staple outfit, the black suit and white shirt. You are sure to have your own version of this iconic style, borrowed from the boy’s ensemble, keeping the consumption of new and fast fashion down by keeping your shopping list to a minimum.
Many of us are guilty for wearing ensembles comprised of simple blacks, whites and greys to the office. Can we really be blamed for this? Such items make getting dressed in the morning as easy as possible as everything matches; perfect for our time-poor days.
Whilst easy, we all know this can be boring. With this in mind, a great way to add a flourish of colour without having to replace several items in your wardrobe, or have stress in the morning for what might match, is to add a pop of colour when it comes to your footwear.
Whilst all black, from your outfit to your heels is a classic choice for an evening out, whatever the past time may be, it is also undoubtedly generic.
What’s more, having to take an extra pair of shoes to work with you as well as a change of clothes is an extra inconvenience. By opting for a shoe which works for day-to-night, you save yourself the hassle.
Hayle is the perfect all-rounder. The flatform take on a brogue is smart enough for the office but stand-out enough for evening drinks. The platform sole will give you the height you usually gain from your heels, but in a comfortable and practical way, should you need to walk any distance.
What’s more, even if you opt for the black colourway, you are still adding interest thanks to the white spot print!
Swap the shirt out for a cami, opting for a silk and lace style where possible. We also think going for an off-white colour is the best way to tie in the chunky sole of Hayle, whilst letting them do all the talking. Top up your make up with a little lipstick and eyeliner and you’re good to go with minimal effort and little extra luggage.Shop Hayle Navy Shop Hayle Blush Pink Shop Hayle Black & White
Heading out on a Saturday and keen to get out of your jumper and jeans style rut? It’s time to really make the most out of your work wardrobe.
No really! It may seem off putting to be re-wearing your self-claimed uniform, but fear not, as suiting is a key trend for SS20, carried over from last season.
Rework the blazer and shirt with classic straight-cut blue jeans for a relaxed take on the workwear staples. Add Harlyn, a casual trainer perfect for ultimate Saturday style and you’re good to go, wherever the day may take you.
